Laura Shabott and Alana Barrett

Artists Laura Shabott and Alana Barrett have wildly different backgrounds, ages and approaches to painting. What they share is a driving commitment for excellence as teachers.

They are willing to engage in lively critique about what makes art good, if not great. Artists of all levels of experience create their own visual aesthetic regarding line, shape, form, composition and color, subject matter, materials and approaches.
